My old workstation laptop was finally reaching the end of its useful life. So I needed to upgrade to a new workstation, but was dreading a lengthy upgrade process and downtime, since my old laptop had lots of specialized and legacy engineering software to reinstall. Aaron and team were able to clone to the new laptop and made the whole process fast and seamless. The new workstation laptop has been running like a charm ever since. The service and the results I received were both excellent. I highly recommend their work.

We have a local small business and these guys took care of us! We are so appreciative of the excellent service they gave us. They listened to our needs and went above and beyond to get us connected quickly and seamlessly. We did not lose any productivity!

All systems worked great! We had a backup internet capability in case of a power outage and faster internet speeds, which led to improved work efficiency. Asheville Computer Company's responsiveness and superior customer service were impressive.

I was very fortunate to find Aaron and the Asheville Computer Company 4 years ago. I just can't express my gratefulness having Aaron and Joseph along with the rest of their team in my world. I'm a small business owner that operates 24 hours a day.....7 days a week (Hotel). Bottom line is......They care....Which is hard to find these days. Not only do they care.......They are consistent, reasonable, professional and very prompt. They know their business........And are very, very good at it. Best IT experience and professionalism ever. We operate our business every day of the year and Aaron and his team knew how to work around this and all other issues. Asheville Computer is my new source for all computer needs. I bought a new laptop from Best Buy and brought it to them to have my info from my tower switched over to the new unit. I ended up getting the Lenovo laptop and that was a mistake. Ricky attempted to transfer my personal info onto my first laptop and there was a problem with this Lenovo. I took it back to Best Buy and had to return it and get another one ordered. I had to wait 2 weeks to get the new laptop. Brought the second one back to Ricky and the same problem. I ended up taking it back and getting a Dell. The Dell finally worked! Ricky was so patient with this issue and was a pleasure to work with. Aaron, you should be excited about this employee that you have. He goes way beyond the call to provide excellent customer care and service! I am glad I found you guys!

Friendly, quick, a great place to take our business and personal 'puters for their 'care and feeding'. Efficient work, answers for any and all questions about what, why, and how. Our 'go to' place for the failing and ailing, or that just in need or desire to upgrade. Go, and be pleased. ;)

Aaron came in and got my network working much better and compliant with all the IRS/FCC regulations. He was in and out with minimal disruption. He listened to exactly what I needed and came up with a plan. The quote was accurate and what he charged when complete. He explained everything to where I could understand it and was very patient with all my questions. He is providing monitoring and virus protection on a single yearly contract which makes it simple. I would highly recommend them to any small business owner. IT makes or breaks us, since we can't hire a full time person.

Kind, knowledgable and user friendly are the words that come to mind this afternoon regarding the service "Aaron Helps You" provides me. I've used Aaron's computer repair and learning services since December of 2010. He's know as the "rescuer" among my family and many of my business associates. I highly recommend these guys for any IT needs. I was having issues with my email and after spending 3 hours on the phone with several other companies and help desks that got me nowhere, Aaron was able to find that i had been hacked. In 20 mins he undid everything the hacker had done, locked them out and had me back up and running. Aaron, Thank you so much for your help with my computer issues.

Richard was very helpful. I was trying to get data off of an old MacBook Air. Richard's first attempt failed, but he did not want to give up. I set a spending limit. Richard spent many, many hours in successfully saving my data to an external drive and only charged me my preset spending limit. Way lower than his time was worth. Thank You Richard. I brought my laptop in the get cleaned because I was hacked and they gave me the hookup! Now I have extra protection added from future scams. What I like most about this company is their customer service is great! Thanks guys!

All of staff are fantastic. Worked with Alex this time. Went in to have computer cleaned up. Instead of performing the necessary maintenance, which was going to be expensive, he recommend replacing my 10 yr old system with a new one for which he would make nothing. Alex's professionalism and long-range thinking prevailed over short-ferm income. Alex even assisted me in selecting the replacement. When I couldn't duplicate the recommended configuration, he went to the marketplace and found one for me. Naturally I went to Alex to transfer my files to the new computer. Also very important to me is reliability of support. Two times during this situation I was told when my computer would be ready for pickup. Both times Alex beat the stated time. Saving money, excellent technical support, providing counsel, and meeting proposed deadlines - whatelse does a customer need. Also, Alex is a very professional and friendly young man that is joyable to do business with.

Well-mannered and easy to work with

We needed surveillance system that would show many details and store months of memory. I talked with Aaron at Asheville Computer company about our needs and wants. We had a problem with a fan on a PC. They easily fixed it, which had the additional benefit of speeding up the computer because Windows was slowing it down to keep the fan from running.

Fair price, prompt service, very forthright. Lots of places you talk to one person and deal with another, look out! Not these guys. They work with each other and the customer seamlessly.

The service I received at Asheville Computer Company this week was exceptional. My laptop used for business purposes suddenly decided not to boot up. I took it into the shop expecting the worst. I get a call the next morning saying it was ready for pick-up. Asheville Computer Company provides outstanding service at a fair price. Luckily, I rarely need computer repair but after spending several hours trying to diagnose why a network card simply stopped working, I took my HP laptop to Asheville Computer Company based upon other customer’s recommendations. The original diagnosis was hardware related and unfortunately did not last but a few hours. When I brought this to their attention they immediately asked me to bring the laptop back, spent several additional hours determining that it was actually a Windows OS problem, and fixed the problem at no additional charge. While some might be of the opinion that they should have caught the real problem the first time, the details of the situation made it easy to understand why they missed it the first time. The company’s willingness to continue to work the problem at no additional charge shows the type of integrity that I look for in a company. I will definitely continue to patronize Asheville Computer Company whenever I need computer repair.

These guys were great! My Dell laptop lost its hard drive. They were able to save my data and reload it on the new drive they installed. They had the computer back to me in one day and Joseph even stayed after closing to give me time to get there and pick it up. I will definitely be back if needed and highly recommend their services. Literally the ONLY place I will EVER go to for computer repair! I found this establishment after my butthead, but loved cat decided he wanted to use my laptop as a trampoline. Thankfully it was only the screen, but it is a work computer none the less. I first sent in a quote request via Google on my phone, was reached out to within the next day and given an approximate quote after discussing the details of my computers model. Incredibly knowledgeable and understanding staff, they are not condescending in any fashion, they assisted me with kindness and were EXTREMELY quick! Both of us were actually surprised how quickly the screen had been delivered, and I had my computer back and fixed within the day! How can you beat that?! (Of course, the speediness of the delivery is by happenstance, but I was ecstatic none the less with how quickly they had repaired it for me!) No BS, I love what they did for me. From the information, the time they took to understand my computer and what I needed was fantastic. The super quick servicing and excellent pricing has me loyal for life. I took my MacBook Pro in after a possible hack. Joseph and Ricky helped me, deleted any suspicious activity and installed Malware, showing me how to use it. All this was done and laptop back to me within 24 hours!

Quick turnaround...on a Saturday no less... by very helpful and responsive tech "Joe" when my Dell laptop was struck by the blue screen of death. Joe had me back up and running in three hours, scanned for other problems. Reasonably-priced, couldn't ask for more. I'm a client going forward.

We purchased a computer from the Asheville Computer Company after checking/pricing them several other places. Our decision to go with Asheville Computer Company was driven by the personal interest(identifying our needs, listening, and hearing us-not just about the sale) and helpfulness of Aaron right through the delivery and setup of our system today. It is there we will go for-all of our computer related needs!

I could not have picked a better place to get my iMac Pro repaired. I formerly used shops that only serviced Apple products, but these guys know their stuff. Joseph spoke to me first on the phone, laying out the possible reasons for the issues I had, the pricing for different services, and the time period involved. I brought in my computer on Wednesday, Joseph had it diagnosed on Thursday and completed by Friday. When I picked it up, Ricky was handling the two customers before me with knowledge, efficiently, and incredible understanding and politeness, when he then turned towards me. He patiently handled every question and thorny problem, some that I'd had for years. And I learned that he worked at Apple in California for years. These guys are professional to the nth degree. I will be going back to them, and I recommend them highly, for any computer you have.

I was very pleased with, and grateful for, the work Aaron did to help my family through an emergency situation with my mother's computer. From the start, these guys were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE. There was a constant line of communication on what they were finding, in real time, and every step that was taken towards solving the problem, I knew about. He's my story from start to finish. I googled computer repair in Asheville. I looked at the reviews much like you are right now. I decided that Asheville Computer Company was my best bet. I called to get a quote from them around 2:30pm on a Thursday and was sent to voicemail. I was a little taken back by this but I allowed my patience to step forward and left a detailed message. I later found out that they were completely slammed but still were able to resolve my issue VERY quickly. I received a call back the very next morning as soon as they had opened their doors. This was relieving because I use my PC for work and I'm in a place of needing to meet deadlines. I gave them a call back and they said I could bring my PC right on in. The minute I walked in the door Ricky Lavoir asked me how he could help. He asked me what all was going on with my computer and I explained everything that I had done to try and resolve the issue. (I'd also like to point out to those that are weary about going places during this crisis we're in, they are abiding by all the guidelines and made it a safe space.) Not an hour after I had left the store I received a call from Ricky on what he thought the issue was and what he was going try. I received maybe 2-3 other calls after that so he could log into my computer. Before I took my computer in I couldn't even get to the log screen. My computer wasn't communicating to my monitors so this information was very relieving. The next day (as I write this) around 3pm Ricky called me to let me know that my computer was ready for pickup, what all he had done to resolve the issue and what he improved. He then gave me a full run down on what it would cost for the labor, diagnoses and for some software that he suggested I have. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved with the price for everything. Again, I would highly recommend them to anyone. It's great group of guys who clearly know what they're doing and it's obvious that they enjoy doing what they do.

Thanks guys, awesome job. My wife's computer crashed. Under Best Buy warranty (what a joke), they told me 30-60 days. These guys figured out quickly the motherboard was fried. Instead of charging a fortune to fix it they suggested getting a new computer and they could clone the drive and transfer everything. I got the new one and they transferred everything quickly and a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend them. (On a side note, Best Buy is going to replace the old one if I have to hire an attorney and sue them for it. Their extended warranty costs a fortune and isn't worth the paper it's written on)

Accepted price quote, and in less than a day they: salvaged the working parts of my computer, put them into a new shell, replaced the broken parts, cloned my entire computer (data, applications, networking, settings...) and I was back up and running. Price was exactly what was quoted, it honestly might have been $10 cheaper. Not to mention very friendly, very polite. Thanks guys!

I dreaded giving up my old windows 7 computer, but forced to for continued microsoft support. Ethan worked a miracle and actually duplicated everything I loved about windows 7 on my new computer windows 10!!! He listened to me and his skill made it a seamless and painless transition. He even managed to transfer an old DOS program I had (yes they exist) that held over 1000 of my own recipes painfully typed back in the 1980's on floppy disks. And they are still printable. Aaron from Asheville Computer came out and fixed my new TV. It downloaded updates and then I was unable to watch Netflix or Hulu. I have an older Mac Book Pro. This is the 2nd time the hard drive failed. I took it to Best Buy; they said they could no longer install hard drives in Apple computers. I took it to an Apple store and they said they couldn’t fix it, buy a new one. It would cost about $1,600.00 to 2,20000 to replace new and at least $600.00 to get a referb. My computer is in excellent shape and didn’t want to get a referb that might be scratched and beat up! I drove past Asheville Computer and read some good reviews so I took it there. They got back to me the next day. I paid them $350.00. They installed a new solid state hard drive and increased the ram. They downloaded the new Apple IOS and swept it clean. I’m very happy with there work. My old Mac is like brand new. Ready for another 12 years. They had it back to me in 2 days. It was time, well past time really, for an upgrade to a Windows 7 PC. I have lived in the Asheville area for several years and had spoken with a man from the Wired Mouse several times. He gave me free computer advice over the phone and I felt like I owed him. So when it was time to upgrade I stopped at the Wireless Mouse office near the Asheville Outlet malls. It was closed. The Mouse is no longer a residential mouse but only services businesses hence it has morphed into a commercial mouse. However the mouse door recommended the Asheville Computer Company as its replacement for residential customers. I looked it up and found it was located in East Asheville and sighed as I did not want to drive there. Well within a week or so I was driving north on Hendersonville Road in South Asheville and saw that there was an Asheville Computer Company store near the Honey Baked Ham and Skyland Fire Department. I went in and met Paul, their technical lead. He walked me through their policy on diagnostics (reasonable price and then amount applied to any repairs). I brought in my husband''s PC and we went from there. He was able to transfer all the data and reinstall most of the applications from the old PC to the new one. Well not new exactly but a refurbished Business Dell. I brought the PC home. It was usable from the moment I plugged it into the internet. I am now customizing it to our tastes but Paul did an excellent job for a reasonable price in a timely manner. Also I know that I can talk to him with any questions I may have. I am now thinking of buying a Google router and having the Asheville Computer Company come to the house and work with me on installing it and helping me configure my home network. This will be our go-to place for all things computer. Highly recommended.

My Apple laptop had somehow collected a piece of malware and my battery was failing. I called Aaron and he was able to make a house visit the very next day. What can I say. I messed with this system for two days. Aaron diagnosed the issue within an hour, took the BAD machine to his office and fixed it in a couple of days ( weekend). The hard drive on my wife's iMac suddenly failed. Since she's a photographer, it meant she could have lost thousands of photos. While the hard drive was backed up - it wasn't local - which meant an extremely slow, drawn out data transfer to a new hard drive. Luckily, Aaron was able to retrieve the contents of the hard drive and transfer it over to a new SSD. He explained that this would be an example of needing two backups - local and non-local. Aaron is a great person to deal with. I had several issues with my computer over the last couple of years and went to Aaron for each problem. Aaron has been excellent solving several different problems I have had.I have only one computer fear now. He is going to get too busy to be there when i need him.

Our desktop froze up and we couldn't get it to work. Malwarebites and cc cleaner didn't phase it. Aaron came and picked it up. Fixed it and brought it back. It took more time than he had estimated because of all the usb devices we had attached. He didn't ask for more money even though I asked him. We paid him more because his price was really low and he did such a great job. The computer has been working without any problem for 2 months now so we know he did a great job!!!

Aaron was able to do what other repair people said could not be done! We are thrilled with the results and thankful he was available to help! Instead of having to wipe out our hard drive and start over, losing all our data, Aaron was able to resolve the problem and keep all our data intact. I didn't want to hand over my laptop to one of the big chains for repair, so I searched online for someone local. I found Aaron and I'm glad I did. He was helpful, courteous, convenient and affordable. He replaced my keyboard and laptop cover quickly and even cleaned out the inside grime/dust. I'm very pleased with the results. I've already given his card to a friend and I'd gladly recommend him to anyone.

When my HP Envy started acting up, I turned to Google and looked for a local place where I could take my laptop. I am so glad that I went onto the 2nd or 3rd page of local search results, because that's where I found Aaron! His website was professional, which is a huge deal to me, and I also saw that he did pickup and delivery. Wow -- that would be a time saver, I knew -- so I gave him a call. He was professional on the phone and asked all sorts of questions about the problem, so I could tell that he knew what he was doing. He picked up my machine, and within a day identified that it was simply overheating. I had read in reviews before I bought the Envy that it was a heat monster, but I wasn't using it for gaming so I figured that I would be okay. Guess not! I have a laptop fan now, which helps, and Aaron installed a program for me that lets me monitor the temps. Since that first transaction, we've used Aaron a few other times, once to fix a broken laptop hinge, another to help us with our home network and router, which was acting up, and yet another to fix the port where the power plug thiny goes in (sorry -- I'm not technical and don't know what that thing is called). We are SO happy to have found Aaron, and will be calling on him whenever we need computer help. He's prompt, professional, and his fees are reasonable, especially considering the fact that he picks up and delivers! I highly recommend Aaron Helps You.

Aaron Helps You's website was so 'snazzy' looking that I thought at first glance it was probably a large franchised type biz, but was happy to learn that it truly is a 'local and friendly on-site computer repair' service. While the service I needed wasn't all that involved, I found Aaron Helps You to be friendly and thorough. I'll definitely use them again. Thanks AHY.
